Fire & Stone rebrand
Rebranding a Central London eatery through creative design
Key Information
Project Date: July 2017
Location: London, UK
The Project
Fire & Stone has long enjoyed a reputation as one of the best pizza joints in Covent Garden – but in 2017, they decided the time had come to diversify their offerings. They were planning an ambitious rebrand, from pizza only to include pasta, burgers and salads – and they recruited eight&four to lead the way.
Objectives and Obstacles
- Updating all print & digital collateral to reflect the new brand offering
- Educating the restaurant’s existing customers on the menu evolution
- Designing a whole new look & feel
- Building excitement and anticipation around the new menu items
Introducing Burgers to Pizza lovers
Our design-led strategy focused on the reimagining of Fire & Stone’s key collateral – starting with their website. We then designed a set of clear, uncluttered, user-friendly menus which kept pizzas at the core of the Fire & Stone offering, while also introducing their new range of products.
Once this was nailed, we set about re-designing their point-of-sale assets, with new window displays, modern signage and matching table cards.
We then launched the new Fire & Stone on the brand’s digital channels, supporting our social-first strategy with an email marketing campaign, the promotion of summer offers, website banners and POS print collateral.
Our partnership, moving forward
As part of our broader partnership with CG Restaurants & Bars (we’re Dirty Martini’s creative agency, and we also work with Tuttons), we provide Fire & Stone with creative, design and campaign support as required, while managing their social channels on an ongoing basis.
