eight&four picks up four nominations at the UK Social Media Awards

How’s this for some good news? We’re delighted to announce that eight&four has been shortlisted in four categories at the UK Social Media Awards!

Here’s a quick run-down of what we’ve been shortlisted for, and the work we’ve been doing to receive a nomination.

Best Long-Term Strategic use of Social Media

We’ve been nominated in this category for our work with our client, Genesis Motor Europe. Genesis is a South Korean automotive brand delivering a new definition of luxury for its customers – both with their design-led fleet and distinctly Korean hospitality. Since launching their pan-European social channels from scratch in April 2021, we have created and published multi-channel content that conveys this luxury identity across organic and paid social media. Although we’re already looking ahead to our 2023 strategy, it’s remarkable how much we’ve achieved to date: 1 brand launch, 3 electric car launches, 590 pieces of content and 713 million impressions later, we’re delighted to get recognition for our long-term social strategy.

Best use of LinkedIn (Gen PE brand launch)

On top of the nomination for our overall social strategy for Genesis Europe, we’re also on the shortlist for best use of LinkedIn during the brand launch.

Despite launching as an unknown in a very competitive market, we found success in building a highly engaged audience on LinkedIn. Standing out from the crowd with some eye-catching content, Genesis Europe soon became the #1 most followed page on LinkedIn within the worldwide Genesis family.

Best Social Influencer Campaign (‘Genesis Friends’ Ambassador Network)

It’s not just our social content that’s received recognition. Our work to build an Ambassador Network for Genesis, titled ‘Genesis Friends’, has also picked up a nomination in the Best Social Influencer Campaign category.

For this initiative, we activated a ‘Genesis Friend’ for each key market – the UK, German and Switzerland. These were social influencers whose identity and aesthetic aligned with the Genesis brand, aiming to form a meaningful and authentic relationship with the Genesis brand via monthly social media posts.

As a result, we successfully reached new lifestyle audiences and strengthened Genesis’ premium positioning in the industry amongst an engaged community.

Best Large Agency

And last, but by no means least, we have also been nominated for Best Large Agency.

This one feels particularly special as it recognises the work that is put in to all our campaigns on a daily basis to provide great work for our clients.

We have grown a lot as an agency of late, so to receive this nomination shows the quality that the whole team delivers for all our wide-ranging clients.
