Double Shortlist Nomination for eight&four at the IPM Awards with Sandals Resorts and Genesis Europe

In another round of excellent awards news for the agency, we’re delighted to announce that eight&four has been shortlisted in two separate categories at the IPM (Institute of Promotional Marketing) Awards.

Firstly, our work on Genesis Motor Europe has been recognised in the ‘Best Use of Social/Influencers’ category, centring on our involvement in the Genesis Scottish Open golf tournament. Our challenge was to amplify the Genesis brand story over the course of the tournament, conveying the elevated hospitality that Genesis delivered whilst bringing to life their Korean philosophy ‘son nim’ – meaning to treat everyone like a guest in your own home.

We worked with Genesis to employ a multi-channel strategy with the aim of catapulting brand awareness. The resulting approach included a sophisticated paid media plan, a pan-european influencer programme and a full schedule of innovative content to drive increased levels of engagement.

The strategic solution activated across the week not only led to one of the best performing periods for Genesis Motor Europe since its channels began, but it also showed fantastic results across the entire funnel, demonstrated by significant increases in requests for test drives of Genesis vehicles across key European markets.

Our second IPM Awards shortlist comes in the Travel and Tourism category with Sandals Resorts. In the face of increasing competition in the luxury all-inclusive space, Sandals was confronted with the challenge of engaging a younger audience without alienating their core Gen X and Baby Boomer customers. To remain relevant and appealing, they needed to connect with millennials through fresh, compelling content.

That's where the eight&four team stepped in! Our task? To reinvent their well-established social presence through an evolved visual identity and a fresh, compelling content approach. We developed a strategic editorial program, utilizing current social trends to drive brand engagement across all social channels. By ensuring Sandals' presence was felt in the right digital spaces at the right times, we successfully made the brand resonate with the sought-after millennial demographic.

We’re thrilled to have been recognised once again for our work on Sandals and Genesis, and the entire eight&four team is excited to hear the results of the IPM Awards in due course. Stay tuned for more awards news!
